Ditto on the heat as a factor. My rear and passenger side both go "blue" with my '10 when it's over around 90 degrees. I haven't made an appointment but likely will. If I recall correctly they've redone the driver's side once already.

I had the rear camera go 'blue' several times; it was clearly related to heat as each time it had been in the sun all afternoon. Cool/shade then all OK.
Rang dealer who said there was an upgrade available so car, 2010 D4, went in to Hunters of Kings Lynn 2 months ago for 2 hours and no problem since.
We shall see as not been too warm since them.

camera fault / blue screen |
|
Camera electronic 'filters' were replaced by dealer.
No recall issued to me, only when I called the dealership to obtain under warranty repair.

I hadn't had any problems with my MY2012 HSE up until now! The past week or so I have been having a blue screen on the reverse camera, a restart normally cures it but when it is working I seem to have a green tinge to the picture. Although mine seems to go off when it is wet Cheers Ian

Have the TSB done by dealer. Lekage of signals so could be affected by moisure. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Had LR techie down to my dealer for my early build MY12. They had long talk to me about the symptoms and then said they were certain my variable blue screens were NOT individual camera fault but CENTRAL PROCESSOR.
Replaced it and touch wood NO PROBLEMS since. This was late summer so I doubt we had any temperatures over 20C so it might still be a heat related thing.
So far I think LR have fixed both of my niggling faults: Cameras and Remote Timed climate If it don't fit the third time - try a bigger hammer

Does anybody could take a picture of filters which are located to the camera module colored connectors under LH front seat. It's clearly visible from the rear side when seat set to the very front. Filters fitted by service bulletin to three connectors of five.
It's very important for me. The car warranty ended and I have rear, front left camera blue screen, front right intermittent.
Would like to see how these ~80GBP each + VAT worth filters look like
Thank you

LR should be doing it even if out of warranty. Start making noise. It is an original design/manufacturing fault so would have been there since manufacture caused by elecrical noise leaking from the harness.
Start making more noise yourself. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

After a couple of weeks of ownership, the front nearside blued out. No recurrence. When it was back in the dealer for a low battery to be sorted, I mentioned it. The adviser suggested that, as it has been a press car, perhaps it had been paddling! I do have a picture of it wading to number plate height but that was nearly 4 years ago.
One observation after a short while. When you need a camera for a tight entrance etc you need the camera speedily. yet it is a slow faff of button pressing to get there. Maybe I need more nimble or speedy fingers. Brian - East Sussex

Guys,
I'm in the US, not that it matters, but I find the camera quality to be extremely poor. Choppy video feed, lots of static and no real resolution or sharpness to detail. I'm obviously not expecting HD, but I find it rather poor. Does anyone else share these thoughts? I want to make sure my camera specifically is not defective. Brand new 2013 LR4
