Had a phone call from the dealers asking for my 2009 D4 with surround cameras because there's been a recall regarding the cameras.
Anybody else?

My D4's currently in the dealership (got a 2012 D4 XS for the week ) for problems with the cameras, I believe that LR are liasing with them about the camera problems.

Haven't been notified of any recall yet but have to say I've never had a problem with the cameras Cheers Ian

BarryC: I had the same problem over a year ago. It was the rear camera to begin, iconsistently intermittent blue screen, then it spread to one of the side cameras. It was fixed under warranty - replaced looms I believe.
So it's a bit surprising that my D4 is still subject to the recall.

Not really surprising. I had the brake vacuum recall done on mine despite that it was outside the VINs for the recall due to brake issues (oil found in pipework).
The recall was extended to include my VIN and the dealer had to redo it because LRA insisted. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

I get a blue screen occasionally, usually when I need it most as well, very annoying.

Yes, I get the blue screen from time to time - most unpredictable- have already had the rear camera fibre optic replaced, they say they are very susceptible to kinks in the way the cable runs - light don't go round sharp corners apparently .
But still the rear occasionally blues out and the mirror cams too. I have had more than one at the same time blued out - anyone else? BUT never the fronts which one would expect to have the the most difficult time of any of them.
Is it software perhaps

I would hope it isn't the same problem as the recall it was only build March 19th. It seams that it is all or nothing , I either get a complete blue screen with a picture of a camera in the middle and red line through or they all work. I am guessing this is likely to be the control until rather that fibre issue to the camera.

That is amazing Wiggs as they definitely told me it was fibreoptic. But if memory serves me right it was a young service advisor not a techie.

I had this overlay done on my HSE to cure camera problems. It was just as bad afterwards, it just got so annoying it was one of the main reasons I chopped the car in.
I was told there was fibre involved but looked at the cables and it obviously wasn't!! 2011 D4 Landmark, Mini Cooper SD Clubman, Range Rover Vogue SE
