^Read through the thread, but I always used a 1/3L per full tank of diesel in my D3, which is still on the road btw. Thumbs Up

Hi,

don't be lazy there is only about 3 weeks of reading on the subject if you fit in 6 hours /day Whistle

Just spent hours reading this thread and totally intrigued. I want to give it a try and have some 2 stroke in the garage. According to the data sheet it has all the relevant stuff, however I can’t for the life of me see anywhere if it’s mineral or synthetic. Anybody out there know what it is. Thanks.

API TC – only API spec established for two cycle engines. It regulates lubricity, detergency, ash content and pre-ignition. Oils with this spec are typically using metal-based, ash-producing additives.
JASO FC – lubricity and initial torque requirements same as FB, however far higher detergency, exhaust smoke and exhaust system blocking requirements over FB.

The Westway Oils Super Two Stroke I use shows API TC on the label as well as the JASO FC+.
Choice is yours, but they do appear to be the same.

200:1 is the accepted ratio.

Westway website is down for the BH weekend, so here's the ebay listing:

Further: Spec sheet from The Silverhook website shows FC spec too.

Thanks Bradley, really appreciate the detailed response. I’ve got a full tank of diesel so will add suggested ratio in the morning 👍

I'm sure you add it first then fill with diesel to mix it. Not sure it will mix being put on top of diesel. Happy to be corrected though Thumbs Up

Hi,

you should be fine, advantage of adding before or during filling is any 2sO in the filler neck will get washed down into the tank, but it will run down on its own and get mixed while you are driving, I've never had any issue adding when filling or adding some later when I have got home.
