That's me in !
I'm awaiting confirmation that there is NO Oil Pump Casing failure due to inop parts, cars booked in for 105K service at main Dealer altho only on 95K at present, Main Dealer is slow to respond to X3 emails pertaining to cracked case, the service will go ahead once I get this confirmation and I'm NOT paying for a replacement if they say its OK as is.
Thanks for setting this up and also a thanks to all those not affected but who have shown support as it could be something else none related next.
Good luck to all
And thanks again Only dead fish go with the Flow !

Come on people, and one of us could be affected by this, and the more information we have, the more likely it is that that we can make the right, informed, decision.
I have to say that I am, at present, contemplating an early belt change + a new oil pump, despite my D3 being registered in March 2009 & having covered only 56k miles.
Please support this worthy cause - 52 so far; let's aim for 20 registrations a day for the next few days?

I'll speak to the Forensic investigator on Monday to see the potential plan of action.
Hopefully this will also serve as a bump, but any update to report Bodsy?
I'd also like to suggest that once we get to sufficient contributions to cover this issue we keep on going to try and maintain a 'fighting fund' for other issues - one possible example is the removeable towbar which the Irish owners are getting replaced FoC by LR in Ireland (together with rear cross member in some cases!)
As others have said, we can't expect to take JLR on in the courts, but can hopefully collate sufficient objective information to make our individual cases more informed.Currently 2009 Disco 3 SE, 2013 MY D4 HSE and 2016 D4 SE

I've sent the relevant information to Douglas, I'll have a conversation with him later this week.
For this, I need to be clear on a few ground rules so people don't get upset.
I'll set up a PayPal account specifically for this. Once setup, I'll send the info out for everyone.
As I get costs etc coming in and before I take the first commitment, I'll report back to inform you.
If we get to the end of this process and there is any money left over, I would suggest that it is donated to Charity, Help for Heroes springs to mind as it is generally well supported amongst the Landrover fraternity.
Or if there is another campaign as suggested that we could build up a fund for, then that also sounds good.
Personally I'm only committing to following this action through, not to be the conduit for any possible different actions on other issues in the future.
I'll continue to update as I get further info.

I've just had a reply from LR
There will be no good will gesture forthcoming in the form of either an Oil Pump casing or any payment in part there of for labour !
Not sure how you guys who have had this have swung it but he said its about brand loyalty and emphasised that only parts which have failed will be assessed and each one on its own merit !
It is not in their interest to look at parts which have not failed to assess a warranty claim !
Otherwise where will it stop ?
I have asked for some kind of warranty on the soon to be failing part and he suggested that as it is not a new part it would not be covered by them ?
They were particularly interested in How long I had owned the vehicle & what mileage it was when I purchased it ?
Has it got a full Land Rover Service history ?
I do hope that's not how they assess brand Loyalty Only dead fish go with the Flow !
