After taking the advice from the forum and because I'm a rebel without a clue , I threw caution to the wind and had a go at the BCU update today and must have done something right.

Still not plucked up the courage to do the BCU. It's scary enough turning the hurdiegurdie lights on and off.

Right, I am not imagining it. My drivers mirror does not hold its position anymore. I have tried resetting the memories and that made it worse!!!!!!! Has this happened before?D3 Tonga HSE 2005

Happened to me when my battery was low on charge.
New battery, never happened since.
Have you been doing a lot of flashing without applying a supply?
Might be worth putting your battery on a maintenance charge to see if it resolves it.

May well be something else. I had to reset my memory mirrors daily until I swapped out the battery. Might be worth a quick battery check, it costs nothing. otherwise, other possibilities might be memory seat module needs replacing

Also check for loose wiring to the module if you've been moving your seat in and out whilst plugging in your new gadget
