Still not plucked up the courage to do the BCU. It's scary enough turning the hurdiegurdie lights on and off.
Go on, Del. It'll be fine.
But record your facial expressions while its programming. That would be hilarious to see

Maybe I should add a note in the manual, ignition ON = Key in position II without the engine running.
Even if you start the process with the engine running, the IIDTool will tell you to turn it OFF and keep ignition ON.http://www.gap-diagnostic.com/

No, ignition on means all lights on the dash but no engine running.
Don't worry though, the IID will guide you through it

For the record, a few posts ago I wrote this....

Even then, we've added a recovery method and tested it over and over again by bricking our cars (fun times Thumbs Up). This method will recover any ECU (except defective ones, only one case so far, Bluetooth ECU) in the event of a failure, not even SDD can achieve this.
The customer shipped the Bluetooth ECU to us and it turns out the ECU was indeed defective. We started looking at the usual culprit and sure enough, we found it relatively quickly. A little bit of attention was all it needed, now functioning as it should.http://www.gap-diagnostic.com/
