It can take a little while to get the email back with the activation code. Not long though usually.

Technically I'm not a first time user but was wondering if anyone could answer my query. Can I use my IIDTool to reset my mates RRS suspension height or would it need the VIN unlocking to use on his vehicle?

Compare it to what's already on your tool. If it's a new tool, sometimes it can have a later release already installed.
Choose the latest number.

An additional VIN licence is required for height changes.

Question;
If I have 2-3 JLR vehicles in the family do I
A- need to buy a multi vehicle iid(if all were the same vehicle and same age grouping)
B- buy an iid for each vehicle
C- buy a single iid but pay for extra licences that can be added to the device or use a switching software on my computer(Mac/Win) which would switch it between vehicles but still be VIN locked to those vehicles?FFRR Owner, very nearly became a D3 owner
Test piloted a new D4 XS SDV6.. Gone and being forgotten i hope!!

KP, if all you want is to read and clear faults, then the Iid will work on all the vehicles straight out of the box.
For enhanced features like CCF editing, if all the vehicles are the same and same age grouping then two additional licenses would be the more cost effective.

Across the family it's
FL2
Disco 3
Disco 4
FF
With the licences being £60 each and only person in the family being trustworthy with anything technical other than a TV remote I was hoping 3 could possibly be additional licences.
Would the pro tool be capable of doing this?
Also while doin a quick check on the website there don't appear to be many ecu's that can be flashed yet, is this the case or is the website a little behind as I know the D3 needs at least the suspension and gearbox flashing to resolve issues with them FFRR Owner, very nearly became a D3 owner

The Pro would cover them all, but a BT with 3 extra licenses would do.
On the D3, the Instrument Pack, Body Control Module, Ride Level Module, Bluetooth and Touchscreen can all be flashed as standard. At present, other ECUs like the gearbox can be done, but only as part of GAP's fast lane service for £25 per ECU (and GAP provide you with the file manually). There are big things on their way in this direction though.
