Great to here this can be fixed via GAP IID - 2 services with different main dealer LR garages hasn't solved it on ours and now its getting cold again, I'm reminded how subtly annoying it is.
 Cheers,

Gareth

Morning all

GAP provided an ECU flash update to solve the +3 degrees temp problem on my MY2016 D4 and I flashed the ECU this morning and it appears to have worked! It was reading 9 degrees beforehand (which it really isn't 9 degrees here today!) and post flash read a much more correct 6 degrees.

£30 via their Fast Lane Service. Thumbs Up

I have done the same. No flashed the ECU yet though.
I’m a bit unsure of the instructions I’ve been sent.

“In your vehicle (in this order):
-Menu->ECU Flash...

Update the IIDTool to firmware build RELEASE, if at 2769, else skip this step.”

Seems an abrupt end. Queried with Pat yesterday but not had a reply yet.

So I think Pat wants you to make sure your IID is at the right version with the ECU update applied so connect to PC and RUN IID updater Tool - then find device and then Program Firmware

Once done safely disconnect from PC and plug into Disco - then goto menu on IID Tool App on phone and follow those flash instructions Thumbs Up

Thanks for that, this is why I’m confused because the first part of the instructions says

“-Connect the IIDTool to your computer USB port
-Start the updater software
-Click ''Find Device''

Select ''Custom Build 2769''and Click on ''Program Firmware''
OR Click on Program Flash File Only if the button is available (hardware dependent)

-Wait until completion
-Follow the instructions on screen in regards to the mobile App file loading.“
Just 'cause you got the power... that don't mean you got the right.

Successfully did the ECU flash.

That link doesn't seem to relate to the topic heading of -

"Disco 4 65 Plate External Temperature sensor issues"

This is where the outside temperature on the dashboard was showing between 3 and 6 degrees higher than the true outside temperature.

Your link relates to the internal cabin temperature which I seem to recall was a different problem.
