Today. Drove out to collect a second set of wheels from high peaks area. With the family, then visited Lyme park on the way home followed by a pub Sunday dinner. Had a great day.

rear diff is out being rebuilt, new drive shafts, bushes and spindle rods going on whilst its all off as preventative maintenance. Also got a chance to properly wire up the winch and put on the Factor 55 shackle - v nice bits of kit.

Got rear ended yesterday by a little Toyota hybrid car when I was stopped a pedestrian crossing.
The Toyota has been written off and mine doesn't even have a scratch, not even any paint on my bumper.
The third party admitted responsibility and has been really good but his insurance company want me to take my car for assessment and wont take no for an answer. I have had three conversations with three separate people where I have been told my car needs to be inspected by an assessor to make sure it's safe even though I am a trained assessor they dont believe me that there is no damage.

So, last night paid after paying over £120 to fill up the very empty Disco with “carbon offset” diesel, I was starting to question whether it makes sense to run it.

Fast forward 24 hours and I had to set off on 150 mile journey in swirling mist and rain to pick up poorly child from his special school. Did I take the PHEV? No, that’s why I drive a Disco Smile
