So what ? the headline figure is comparable with D3/4 figures and that has been the main thrust of the argument from the sayers of doom like you.
The thrust of my argument was that the figures are not comparable and we need to take into account the lack of stock to sell during the Sept ‘15 to March ‘16 period, but I thought that ought to have been fairly clear the first time around.2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

Think everybody are getting their timings wrong.
Red Merles post wasn’t aimed at the first post in that thread and was posted before Chalkys post at 7.10 this evening.

Thank you Dusty
It was the exchange that took place starting with the one at 11.49 and in reply to Chalky, I’d add that there is a difference in the meaning between “amusing” and “funny”, I’ve driven D5’s extensively and I’m fairly well aware of the similarities and differences between a D5 and a FF 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

i have no issue with diesel...its just another stupid enviro-fad.
there is a 60's volvo lorry in use by us, used by a farmer i wouldnt want to be in the village when that comes through...but i would sit near the exhaust of a modern diesel in comparison...its a bit like the old v8, you couldnt run that near the garage...but a new v8 running in the garage not really an issue.
Although i dont get why a car that uses less fuel is worse than a car that uses more...surely consumption is the issueMike

Discovery bucks the trend across the LR range ... FYTD well into the dizzy heights of D3/4 peak sales figures now
