Letting standards of good taste slip, simply to conform to whatever the stylists dictate is now fashionable, is entirely optional - fortunately! 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
2015 - 2017: 2 x D4
2017 to date: FFRR SDV8
2023 to date: 2 x FL2 as โsecondโ cars ๐
2021 to date: Hinckley built โ14 Triumph Trophy 1200
2022 to date: Hinckley built โ14 Triumph Trophy 1200 & sidecar!
(One of only two known to exist in the world!)

Well put. Good taste is in short supply nowadays. 2014 MY Discovery XS Indus Silver. Sadly gone. Second last LR of forty eight years continuous ownership.

I had 3, and a mighty fine vehicle they were. Far superior to the DS, which I was a big supporter of until I owned one. Never again. 23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green

Maybe... but good taste and freelander never really went together in my book 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

I think of a FL2 as a mini D3/4. Good bit of design IMO, I actually find myself liking them more as time goes by.
Coupled with the fact that they are generally recognised to be the most reliable LR, it's an attractive used buy in my book. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

Yeah fair play. Never really liked the look of it ...but like the D5 I guess once you live with it you realise the views of others don't fit the charge against it and ultimately don't really matter. 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
