Those torx screws are stuck solid. Pretty sure I've rounded one of them trying to get it off!

Do since the last update I've managed to fit the rear tailgate handle and a D4 rear bumper. Just need to send it all off for paint to get it all looking perfect and colour matched. Did have a bit of trouble with the loom connector as it didn't want to work so popped the end off the old D3 one and fitted it all together. Now works perfectly (oddly enough the parking sensor system was dead until we refitted the rear lights)

Also found 10mins to fit the D4 interior stalks I picked up from the forum. Such an easy mod and well worth it. I am going to bite the bullet and do the front end soon as the grey bumper corners are doing my head in! Hopefully can pick up all the parts in black but if not will paint it all

I had Bodsy round this morning to blank off the EGR's and install a BAS remap. Looking forward to seeing the impact over the next few weeks!
He also very kindly pointed out an oil and coolant leak that I need to get sorted asap and also not missing the fact my battery is on it's way out!

The remap will get better as the gearbox adaption adjust (I'm on 163k) but already feeling a bit difference from a standing start. Feels like th is is the way it should have always driven!

A few jobs done this week. New steering wheel fitted with BBS boards. Looks and feels so much better than the 170k D3 wheel but my cruise does not work nor does the heating on the wheel so it will need to come off again for troubleshooting
Also got the coded front bumper fitted so just the door handles and the wing mirrors left now. With the sun out today it's made me see quite how badly the car needs to be polished in some areas and painted in others. It's on almost 170k and its got a few years left yet especially with the recent BAS remap I treated it to from Bodsy

After getting a bit fed up with my D4 steering wheel retrofit I need something else to keep me going!
I've ordered some door handle covers and the integrated led wing mirror covers from Powerful so will fit them over the weekend. That will be the last of the old plastic finish gone.
Exterior wise I'd still like to change the wing grille to a mesh one but cannot find a gloss black one with the DISCOVERY lettering anywhere at the moment.
I will also swap out the front grille at some point in the future for a D4 facelift style gloss black version.

Little bit of maintenance over the weekend. When Bodsy did my EGR blank he noticed a small bit if oil at the front of the engine bay. One £4 seal later and all was good again.
I did notice the soundproofing under the engine cover has now fallen apart so depending on cost might look to get it replaced.

Don’t know if they can be sprayed if they are very hard to get hold of at a reasonable price ??
This is the front grill I fitted on mine
Some of the door handles I’ve been looking at

Hi
Like the piano black on ur wheel , also done the mod, as the old D3 airbag was lifting I got the D4 , which I prefer as its flat on the front , hasn’t noticed before how they were different
Inc the switch packs where some have the chrome bit on the buttons and some don’t, managed to get the ones with the chrome ends, looks like urs is the same
