No they don't. If it's the original oil pump you are sitting on a ticking time bomb.
Just ask anyone else on here, not trying to be nasty or anything.

Oil pump without delay Thumbs Up

I would think that an early megaflush would be advisable too, plus change of lubricants in both axles & the transfer box, and new brake fluid.

Right OK, sorry I was going on the every 105k or 7 years theory 😬 I don't think you're being nasty, happy to be told!
So, what is particularly nightmarish about the pump on the 07, always nice to have a little nugget of info to drop just as he's about to start something.
Then I will write a list and place it under a glass of wine later.

(Brake fluid has just been done, so that's 1 tick for me!

What shall I change the title to... 🤔

We can try for 15 pages? Razz on a serious note, if you guys think we should leave this thread, (I'm loving all this info) I understand!

The mount on the oil pump fails.
You then have no cambelt tension and the engine is usually destroyed

A new engine is £4000 +
New pump £150 + fitting (needs doing same time as cambelt )

It’s possible you may have a new pump. Which can be seen when belt cover off. Job for hubby when car back

IMHO not worth going in to look, reassembling, then back in to change the pump. Get a pump from forum sponsors :-

https://www.advancedfactors.co.uk/

who will advise, if necessary, give you a forum discount, and ship promptly. They really are excellent. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Plenty of threads here on how to do it & what tools are required. If you post a more detailed address on your profile maybe someone local will loan the special tools.

Good luck

Not a 5 min job to change
