Apart from the Lace table cloth, that looks really great HH
You must have had a spare LH switch.
Your perforated Leather bit actually seems a bit deeper than I have seen before, even on a new wheel

finished the installation late last night and really love the new wheel & button setup.
Thanks Colin for hanging on to the project and providing the update opportunity!

Thanks for your kind comments of appreciation of my efforts TheOneAndOnlyNikolaus :
I think only now many are starting to truly appreciate how really difficult and time consuming this project actually turned out to be and how much work has really gone into it now they see the end result.
Time and effort I could barely spare, given my quite heavy day to day workload with the nanocom and other stuff.
It got even harder when I no longer needed this myself.
But I never forgot how really nice it felt and how it utterly transformed my every day driving experience when I upgraded my D3's steering wheel to a new smooth leather one that I simply could not stop stroking and carressing at every opportunity, even causing a jelous comment or two from SHMBO.
Then when with the aid of a couple of Prototype PCB's as seen on my you tube Video, I got to fit a brand new D4 wheel with its much later, much nicer and more usable switches, I was in heaven and even more determined than ever to make this project a reality and share that experience with others no matter how long it took or how hard it might be.
So I am totally understanding how you and everyone else feels having done this upgrade

Mr P
Right now the 2 ACC switches are used only for vehicles that have and need ACC switches, which i am pleased to say now includes my own vehicle. But we have left the circuitry in on both the Transmitter and Reciever end for possible future modification to use them for something else if ever i manage to find the time

Given that we have no record of ever having shipped a conversion Kit to Moscow or indeed anywhere in Russia, I have to ask if you have actually purchased and fitted one forestrg

yeah I really didn't buy your kit was bought only the wheel from the Discovery 4, in the hope that so will work, imbued with a deeper understanding than that is not so simple. And that without a set of boards from here https://blackbox-solutions.com/shop/ will not work or are something to ReWire ?
PS if not, then it's kind of expensive to change the wheel 125$ heated steering wheel, had bought the right part of the button (a button speakerphone) 100$ total 225$ If we take payment from customers is another 205$ and then there will be 430$ horror
sorry for my English

Sorry but no M3DPO
Clearly a huge amount of my time and money has already gone into this project and the result is Gold Plated works of art that have huge value and worth that I am already making a loss on for the benefit of helping those that appreciate having this upgrade opportunity at all, regardless of cost.
I hope you understand.
If not, you certainly will when you have the new wheel in your hands

No need for an explanation, I fully appreciate the time, effort and expertise you have put into this project, it was just the "promo" box that through me and I thought I may have missed something.
Conversion kit with heated PCB ordered and paid for, I hope to be back before Christmas for the paddle kit (hoping to persuade SWMBO to buy it me for Xmas) It can when others can't,

Hi Colin and Maplecottage,
I have removed, checked and re-fitted my steering wheel.
Flappy paddles now work with and without the headlights on
Heated wheel still not working the switch just flashes red for a split second, I will try to video this.

Should be a dim green backlight when the sidelights are on and you should have a brightish Orangey Red when the heated it toggled on regardess of sidelight state.
Huge Halford,
Don't worry so much aboout the Video, your description of the Red flash is sufficient
Three ideas
1st, The thickish Red and Brown wires in the Purple connector carry the current required for the Heater element, so you need to be sure that they are supplied with sufficient current and there are no poor connections.
Second, Although the Brown is a ground, it is not used for the switching logic that controls the Heated ECU
For this it requires a good ground on the main RHS PCB so you should check the connections there etc.
Third,
The Heated wheel ECU has a 4 pin connector to the Wheel itself for the Heated element and the PTC temperature sensing feedback. Obviously you need to check this connector.
Of course all of the items we supply for this are careffully constructed by hand, visually inspected and tested with a real heated wheel on a real D3 loom, but i remain open minded to the possibility that something got missed, so if you are still struggling to get the heated working, you are welcome to send me some high res pictures for me to check over etc.
