I was just about to add 'doleawg' to my list of 'members that talk bo11ocks' (which incidently is nearly full). But I'll excuse him given his reply. Thumbs Up

BTW we need a new emotion to indicate 'stirring'.

Character, I don't think that's the case; after all, those wishing to drive a distance for a service are no doubt waiting for Nick's response on Monday ("if something is different in service then i will be finding it out on monday and report back to you").

You can't get much more local to YLR than the good Doctor. Where he's to he'll be getting a fine price.

It's funny that alot of the words of support so far are from "locals" or those who have or are buying parts. I too will continue to buy parts from Nick for as long as Nick will be there, so how many years till you retire? Thumbs Up

So if you're given a figure of £115 per hour for the service of yer D3, would your reaction be the same Very Happy

I would think most support posts are for nick rather than Yeovil land rover, I lived there for a few years and would have used it for servicing etc, but TFC offers such good value and the parts do come from Yeovil including my screens fitted by TFC

It's not surprising that you'd have more people support the parts side, given the higher numbers of forum members who deal with Nick compared to serivce alone.
Being a May/June service and as Winger points out, ridiculously local, I can't comment on cessation of service discount.

I just want to clarify, not digging at Nick, pleased as punch to hear the nasty management have not imposed such restrictions, but service, come on chaps, not even a compromise for us that might travel 100's of miles to enjoy the hospitality.

If I book into the Premier Inn round the corner, does that count as being "a local" Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

Character, as you're about to sell your D3 surely it's not really going to make much difference to you? Confused

Not for another 3 or so months, so at least another Major service, Still needs the occassional bit of tender love and care, just spent £400 plus at THW this week remedying an issue highlighted when last serviced at YLR, used Nicks parts to mend it though Rolling with laughter Thumbs Up

Nick, based on yesterday's conversation I'm sure you know where I'll keep going for parts mate Thumbs Up
LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.
