4 windows down - yeh!
3 windows up - doh! - NS passenger o/s (works in all other ways except remote).
Back she goes.
suspension remote seems fine - Yeh!
You should at least try to reset that window yourself before you waste time taking it back to the dealer: details in your owner's manual.

Winger said - try re setting the window before you take it back.
IT WORKED. Hoo Ray!. 4 up and 4 down. My life is complete!
Just incase someone hasn't got the manual or something....
Wind the window up fully.
For offending window Let go of the button and then hold switch up for 1 second and let go.
Thanks Winger, Really appreciate that. Its only a little fault, but it does take the edge of new car a little. So its great to fix it yourself, A disco 2, wanting a 3 since 2004, not any more, I've got a 4!

Sunroof does not work with global close on the Ford designed cars - only on the FFRR (and not sure if the latest 1's do either). But definately never destined to work on D3/4, RRS or FL2.

Thanks Mark
What a strange thing to leave out. They might as well have left one of the doors off the central locking system while they were at it. Faultmate MSV-2

Kenny
I have tried the raising of windows and it does not work for me either.
I have spoken to two dealers in sydney and both of them said that they have tried it on the 2010 model and could not get it to work.
Mine in is a 2011 model and they have said that they would not be able to get it to work on mine either.
Did the dealer do it for you or did it just work. One dealer said that they would have to changethe country code to get it to work, but they wern't prepared to do that.
kenny wrote:The global locking works on my D4, it took me a while to work it out though. On mine it only works if you double lock the car (press the lock button twice) on the second press hold it down for the three seconds.
The car lowering and raising works too but I always forget the button combinations? 2011 Discovery 4 TDV6 2.7l

HI Redback,
When I wrote that it was my 2010 D4 I now have a 2011 D4 and to start with it did not work but after a while with no changes made by me (that I know of) it now works on this one too?
I do have a faultmate and clobal closing was already set to on but did not work? It hasn't been near the dealer since I bought it either.
So the story is that I really don't know why or how but it now works on my 2011 and didn't work on my 2010 until after the first service (didn't mention that before)

I heard it was a safety feature only activated in Oz..... so that you cannot leap out the passenger door and shut the officers head in the drivers window by using Lazy Lock!!!! Near enough 40 degrees South!!!

Hi,
I bought a US LR4 here in Germany and all you have to do with the faultmate is setting "CDL Global Close" to "enabled" and also "RF Global Close Permitted" to "yes" in the ccf.

^ Same here on my US spec LR4. Only the global open feature worked until using the MSV2 to update the ccf as gseum has noted.
