Had same probs on my 12 plate D4. Global opening worked but not closing. Operated rear window switches both together all the way down, then both together all the way up and held them there for a few seconds. Now I get global closing but not opening! Land Rover please sort this stuff out.

I remembered to actually try it today on my MY10 D4, opens and closes all without problem.

According to the Landrover website Global locking should open / close the sunroof.

I don't have a global close option on mine (D3 XS, 57 reg). Does that mean I'm missing a software update, or it just plain can't do it?

raising/lowering the suspension off the remote key I believe you have to hazards on and something else, not just a straight forward pressing of 2 buttons simultaneously2011 D4 XS 305 MY12 - gone but not forgotten

That would be fair enough for raising/lowering suspension. My concern (for this thread anyway) is all windows opening if I hold the unlock button down, and closing when I hold the lock button down.

I don't have your problem but when ive had the battery reset (after LR did a body off job and after having the Xenons coded via IID etc) you have to reset all 4 windows by winding them up and down and holding the window switches for about 10 secs.
I seem to have read on this thread that you've done that but the global still isn't working. Do all 4 windows go up and down on 1 press of the door switches ?
my front passenger window doesn't always reset for one touch closing no matter how many times I do it, but will then randomly have reset itself a few days later.2011 D4 XS 305 MY12 - gone but not forgotten

The way some other people are talking on this thread, you need to set an option for global close to on. Or tag it onto another global option, which I can't remember the name of (global lock?), but I don't have anything in the Settings options with the world 'global' in.
I will try the window reset thing tomorrow morning though.
The D3 is off to get bearings and breaks replaced in a fortnight (taken forever to get it booked in anywhere, and my usual mechanic's ramp is bust so won't take a 3tonne car right now), at a land rover specialist (non main dealer, but they basically live with these things) - I will ask them about it (and the mirrors not remembering a reverse position while I'm at it).

I noticed at the weekend that only the back windows were closing on global close, so took a moment to reset all the windows individually. individually run each one down them up release & hold the switch again, you should hear the temic switch click after a few seconds as it resets. Ran all the windows down, double locked on the remote, then held the lock & they all went up, though as other have said, the sunroof doesn't appear to have been considered in the global close option!
