If it proves necessary, the people we should hassle are LR, not Denso: it is LR who have promised Denso they will be sending the bulletins to their dealers...DGRR

I have the same problem, i.e. having uploaded the latest nav dvd (YIW500200) on my 06MY car, and finding 1791 becomes useless.
HOWEVER... I have got Denso Corp (makers of the dvd) on the case. So far, their engineers claim that the latest nav dvd contains additional software which, when the dvd is uploaded, should permanently enable the whole system to be used whilst moving... as apparently happens in an 07MY car. I have been told that there IS a new diagnostic code for use with the new dvd which should achieve an even better result than the old 1791 code: the new one is apparently a one-time-entry, permanent fix!
We shall see...
As soon as i have more information from them, I will of course share it with all...

Stupot,
That post of mine was nearly 3 years old! However, you are quite right in that I should have followed it up, as promised... so here goes: The new enabling facility I was referring to has indeed been introduced, but, irritatingly, NOT as a diagnostic access code; ever mindful of a little profit, LR/Denso have ensured that Sat-Nav on the move is only a dealer-enabled fix that will cost you the thick end of £200 (2 hrs' shop time to upload it into your D3's brain, apparently). Remember, that is IN ADDITION to the cost of upgrading the actual mapping DVD - a new one of which seems to be released each September or so.DGRR

hi, I'm costing updating my 2006 satnav. I've read a bit on here and. Now alittle worried it's not just putting a new disc in the bOx under the seat! Excuse if the info is already on here but I'm struggling with an iPhone only web connection at the moment and my eyes are stinging like a stingy thing ! Cheers.I prefer to buy British made goods.

Updating the navigation is just a case of sticking in a new disc, Wiggs did mine for me a couple of weeks ago, it now much faster in operation and my car knows that the M6 toll exists - although it seems to prefer the cheaper M6 for its routes.
Wiggs, how much do you charge to enable the on the move input?D3 HSE MY05 Auto
