But maybe if I had the up-date I'd have known about the 'shortcut' around the back of the old airport.
I'll have you know that I do venture outside the smoke from time to time!! As you slide down the banister of life

Thanks Slimer but let Ave have the disk - in all the excitement or realising how easy it would be to load I want and bought another on line. Cheers.

Collecting the car on Monday! Will my SatNav allow me to input on the move? What upgrades can be done to bring it up to date etc.
Looking forward to the experts passing on their knowledge!!
Thanks Jim

As a standard car ..no sat nav on the move ...someone may have had it done at the dealers , so your best of waiting and see if it works (sat nav on the move was standard on 07 models and onwards ) G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

horrah! In china you can access nav on the move no restrictions.
boo! Its a t t to set cos its all in chinese
So i can set it on the move but my chinese is not up to scratch or my wife can set it from the passenger seat but her techno skills are not up to scratch..Doh.
However tv still stops when not in "P" you just keep the sound. It is better to have and not need it then need and not have it.

it can't be set to english as its a seperate program and can't be activated from the screen. if you try from the screen it says "maps not available" you have to access from the nav button only. also voice control not available It is better to have and not need it then need and not have it.

Fix/upgrade in Devon/Cornwall |
|
This sat nav on the move issue is a bit of a pain isn't it... Been looking for days to find a fix.
Is there anyone in Devon or Cornwall who can provide a service to enable entry on the move - whether it's an upgrade of sorts or a config change?
Many thanks
Paul

Nearest to you is Geoff in Kent i think.
I get that way from time to time, but no plans at the moment.
Steve Norman might be able to do it, he's not far from Yeovil area. Bodsys Brake Bible

Hi,
anyone in/near Lincs (Pboro area) who can enable the 'on the move' Sat-Nav (have '06 D3 & latest LR 11/12 discs) & would also like 'rear view camera' enabling, as plan to fit a reversing camera.
Thanks,
Neil.

Bit far for me normally. Flack gets over your way from time to time I think. Wiggs gets around. I'm sure one of them will pop up soon. Unless you get down to Northampton or across West Mids at all? Bodsys Brake Bible
