Using Sat Nav on the move ! |
|
Just in case anyone doesnt know, here is how to use the SatNav on the move......
Press the agree disclaimer to enter Sat Nav. system
Press bottom left home key......This shows you the "Sat Nav. Menu"......press your finger (hold for <10 secs) on the screen above the box named "stored locations" just to the right of the word menu at the top of the screen.
A keypad should appear.........enter the following code 1791 then press OK.......the screen will show the keypad again...enter 1791 once more, but this time(instead of OK) exit the screen using the button at the top right of the screen. ALL SHOULD NOW OPERATE on the move.

Yeah, if you put in 753 you get all the satnav diagnostics.
Really interesting for the first two minutes , then you have to re-boot the car to get back the satnav. Have a nice day!

What does 're-booting' the car involve? I tried this and it says cycle the ignition to return or something like that.
Do I have to disconnect the battery to get back to nav mode?

Just turn off, lock up and have a coffee. Seems to take about 10 minutes for it to revert back to 'normal' mode The End

In my car, you just have to wait for the Clock to disappear off the Audio System display (turn car off, and remove the key), before the ignition is 'Cycled'.

Anyone know what the new code is after you install the latest DVD? Just installed the latest map DVD and the code no longer works. It looks like the system software is also updated as the date has changed from an 04 to an 06 using the system code 753.
Any ideas?

I have the same problem, i.e. having uploaded the latest nav dvd (YIW500200) on my 06MY car, and finding 1791 becomes useless.
HOWEVER... I have got Denso Corp (makers of the dvd) on the case. So far, their engineers claim that the latest nav dvd contains additional software which, when the dvd is uploaded, should permanently enable the whole system to be used whilst moving... as apparently happens in an 07MY car. I have been told that there IS a new diagnostic code for use with the new dvd which should achieve an even better result than the old 1791 code: the new one is apparently a one-time-entry, permanent fix!
We shall see...
As soon as i have more information from them, I will of course share it with all... DGRR
