hmmm similarly i would assume the readings would show 999 if the engine wasnt idling high enough (its only running on 3 cylinders currently)

To be totally honest if the injector loom is its own and can be bought as such I would just do that unless it's £300 or something sillier as the pulse bursts across those wires are super short timing wise and not a massive amount of power either so will be hard to prove out.
Unplug at wiring at both ends and continuity check between the 2 injector wires.
Then continuity check to ground.
It's a shame I can't read the fault code screens

Sorry Pete! never realised you couldnt zoom in on them, below is a full list of what ive tried, and what ive discovered and what i still want to do (Including Fault Codes):
Starts and runs, but not on all cylinders (Oscilloscope says both banks pulsing, don’t believe it, trace wiring on both banks)
Compression is good on both banks. Oscilloscope confirms.
5 Injectors changed for known good units, no change in engine note, not an injector failure.
Continuity on all 3 P/S injector lines is perfect. No visible damage to injectors, replaced with three spare ones, no notable difference.
High pressure pump is pumping at 340-360Bar (at rough idle because its running on three)
Low pressure seems to have good flow, air sometimes though? Pressure is 0.366 Bar, this it between thresholds of 0.3-0.5 Bar, all good, air seems to have passed.
Injectors do not need coding
ECU is confirmed to be good, all injector drivers are good (electrician suggests test the injector wiring for chaffing.)
EGR Delete Kit bought, needs to be fitted
Fault Codes:
P0100 - MAF Circuit (Historical) Not Important, not active
P0495 - Fan Speed High (Permenant) Not Important, Due to Fan being disconnected.
P0113 - Intake Air Temp sensor 1 Circuit High Input (Historical) Not Important, Not active
P0407 – EGR Sensor B Circuit Low (Intermittent) EGR Blank Kit Ordered
P0193 – Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit High Input (Intermittent) Possibly Issue Related
P0194 - Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Intermittent (Historical) Not Important not active.
P020D – Injection Duration Cylinder 4
P020E – Injection Duration Cylinder 5 Passenger Bank Injectors
P020F - Injection Duration Cylinder 6 Links up with 3 non-operating Injectors
P020A - Injection Duration Cylinder 1 (Historical) Not important, not active.
Potential causes:
Faulty Cam sensor
Slipped timing (unlikely, full LR Main dealer history, T-Belt done 10k ago)
Injector wiring shorting along its length.
Longshots:
Siezed turbo?
Air inlet blockage?
Things to test:
Strip back ducting on the injector harness and visually inspect each line for wear or lines crossing.
Check operation of cam sensors with oscilloscope
Check timing (Unlikely, OEM Main Dealer T/Belt fitted 10k ago)
Plug in and check high pressure fuel again & injector balance, look for any other signs.
Check for blockages on inlet, turbo also.
Cheers for the help so far lads!

If it was me I'd be investigating if there was any cam sensor readings for that bank and be getting ready to pull the top cover to check for a snapped timing chain

surely if a chain was gone i wouldnt be showing even compression on all 6 cylinders, or be able to start it?

The BAS site says "Cylinder injection timing"
As you have done so much checking of the output side of the ecu and injectors, don't forget the inputs to the ecu. i.e something wrong causing a shut down of one bank or confusion.
e.g fuel pressure high.
The cam sensor is on the passenger side. (only)

yeah the fault codes seemed odd to me, i suppose theyre fault is more likely to be caused by an input, like you say, and high fuel pressure could be the cause too, judging by the other code thats active, p0193?

Ahhhh theres only one cam sensor? i assumed there was two

Someone on this site had a snapped cam chain on one bank and still managed to idle on 3. Not sure what his fault codes were though. Didn't realise this engine only has one cam sensor so I guess kills that theory anyway

I wonder if that's high fuel pressure or sensor high voltage.
Have to see what the bas site says.

@Pete K: its a strong possibility all right, and definitely something im going to try test soon, excuse my ignorance, but what is the BAS site??

So! pulled the tank and found this in and around the lift pump:

Bench tested the lift pump and its fine, so it must be coming from the HPFP! any thoughts lads?

well.... it wasnt the HPFP any way back to the drawing board!
