Is there any chance someone can pm me a copy of LTB00963? and also the affected VIN range please?
I have a Landmark that was collected in March 2016 and over this winter on longer runs I need to keep turning the temperature up to keep a comfortable temperature inside the vehicle.
It will be in for it's first service in the next 6-8 weeks so I'd like to know if my vehicle is affected by LTB00963 and what the content is
Thanks in advance

Supplied earlier by MGDisco. There seem to be several threads talking about the same problem.
The LTB00963 affects the following Vin range 699716 - 828071.
This bulletin details a replacement of a foam insert around the temp sensor. Applying this seems to have worked for some but other fixes were required by others and several on here have tried and failed to get it fixed. Someone found the tube that samples the air to the sensor which was bent flat reducing the air flow. It's not clear if sorting this fixes it.
If you PM me your e-mail address I can send you further details of the LTB Gary

Went back in today and the Ambient Temperature is now reading the correct level and i had to turn the heating down to 20 degrees as interior was getting too warm.

I had the fix LTB 00908 a week after I picked up my D4 and looks like problem solved
Wouldn't have known about the fix without great work and guys on this site, dealer was clueless about the LTB until I printed it for him!

Picked up my D4 last week (66 plate) and the climate control is not working correctly - it's as though from start up the cabin warms as it should, but when the temp is reached (22 degs for example) and the blower then slows down, when it needs to put more heat in afterwards, it just blows cold air, no hot air at all. The effect is it just gets colder and colder.
I noticed some other owners on here (Dave T from Cornwall) have had the exact same issue and I was hoping you could tell me what the fault and cure actually was ?
Thanks - Paul

Like you I printed 00908 but only had 00963 written down, Dealer insisted they do their own diagnosis on it! Then guess what they carried out both TSB's, Temp gauge sorted but can't really tell on 00963 as weather has warmed up now and my symptoms were more obvious when weather was cold. while the heating was certainly no as I should be, I don't think mine is as bad as some seem to be. The car went in this morning for LTB00963 to be implemented, fair play to the dealer, they claimed not to know about this bulletin yesterday when I spoke to them, but after informing them about it, they had ordered the part in and had it ready to fit this morning.
So LTB00963 implemented - let me give some feedback after a few early morning drives to work in the dark where the sunshine isn't muddying the water - first impression isn't too positive though, still too much cold air through the dashboard vents on the way back to work !

Climate control is definitely not sorted after the visit to the dealers in Chester - going to try the one in Nelson near work this time and see if they can sort it.
The more I read about it though, it sounds like a design issue ?
Any thoughts ????
Thanks - Paul

Good afternoon Armpit,
Thank you for your post.
I am sorry to learn that your concerns have not been resolved following a visit to your local Land Rover retailer.
Should you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to PM me.
Many thanks,
Amellia

Don't hold your breath for any assistance from Land Rover. There are quite a few vehicles with the same issue and so far, Land Rover's factory technicians have looked at several and they still have problems.
Be prepared for lots of excuses and reasons why there is nothing wrong.
After, 38 years of Land Rover ownership, my Disco 4 goes next week and I will never own a JLR product again!!!
Such shoddy customer service from a company that thinks as itself as a 'premium' brand.

Thanks Tony - I sincerely hope you are proved wrong (for the right reasons of course!). The car is booked in for a week tomorrow - I'll feedback following the visit.
If unsuccessful, I intend to build a file taking all the information from this site on all different threads and write to Autoexpress to see if they are willing to engage on the subject.
Let's see first as it can't be beyond the wit of man to sort out climate control ??????
Cheers - Paul
