Sourced an OEM front licence plate mount from a breakers, quick to over with trim colour today and fitted. Been looking for one for a while, and matches in with the black grill now
never liked the plate attached straight to the bumper, always looked like something missing.

Ah yes, I guess I could've done. Didn't actually think of that, even though the last time I got stuck in a field (also with a heavy trailer) that's how I got out
The tractor was in the field, so I towed it out with that - though even that was scrabbling for grip until we got moving.

I'm just pleased it was him who stopped there, not me
To be fair, neither of us realised it was that boggy - thought we were just picking up a small patch or muck, turned out to be probably an extra 300kg old wet trampled hay we loaded before trying to move off...

Had a full day off to myself today so bit the bullet and took the fuel tank shield off to clean it up
It wasn’t too bad but the only real piece of rust I’ve found on the car so wanted to sort it.
Tank is on empty but it’s a pain to take off and even worse to get back on again!
Used the Jack to lower it and then managed to get some straps between the tank and the shield to hold the tank up, but getting it back on was hell, non of the bolts lined up on first or second try, and trying to man handle the tank all the time expecting to rip a pipe and get a face full of diesel.
However, job done, tank shield looking much better and tbh, a good way to spend a “man” day

Fixed the bonnet not locking with a toothbrush, some CRC and a very narrow and thin wooden spatula. I thought at first that the cable had broken but it turned out that the locks were just gunked up and didn’t want to move. 15 minutes later all good.
