Most of the time I was just staring out the windows while working my way through my rock collection on the iDog&Bone. After clearing the HNL runway the next man made thing I saw was a freighter off Sydney. It sure is a whole lot of nothing but water.

Is the different shape of the windows noticeable on the Dreamliner? Not flown in one yet so trying to concoct a route that would see me add one to my ticklist I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

Same round/oval shape as most airliners but no pull down shades. They have dimming like the sunglasses, you can dial up what level you want. They don’t go totally dark but enough to make it look dark outside when in full sun.

I have a cousin who’s out here on a working visa, she’s now touring Aus. Her parents think she’ll never come back!
And gratuitous pic from breakie. It’s been raining! We thought we’d left that malarkey behind!!

My daughter is 22 and a qualified paediatric nurse which are highly sort after out there. She has interviews at several Sydney hospitals whilst she's out there on holiday.
Working in Australia is on her list. Whether it will be for a couple of years as she plans or will turn out to be permanent, who knows? However, she loves her job in the UK so we'll see.D4 HSE EU6 (Known as Jeeves)

Clarification needed! Was this Guns n Roses AC/DC Black Sabbath….
…. Or were you sorting out your pictures of granite, basalts and pumice stones?

Bit of AC/DC, Nickelback, Nirvanna, Billy Joel, Elton John, Mike Oldfield, Redgum, Shinedown and anything else I’ve forgotten.
And no pics of granite, wrong geological setting. See, all that education want wasted.

Was never really an Elton fan until I went to his Farewell (we’ve heard that before) concert in Toronto last Sept.
On the flight it was a case of “oh, haven’t heard that for ages” and pressed the play button.

Try the CD version of Tumbleweed connection and in particular the version of Madman Across The Water that was cut from the Vinyl release. Bowie's (one year later) guitarist Mick Ronson features and it is absolutely stunning, miles better that the title track version on the next albumA visitor from the dark side, my other vehicle is an is still an EV. Strictly speaking its SWMBO.
