Got mine done today
They had it nearly all day.....They even washed it
They even gave me a quote for just over £2000 for work it needs doing, ie: pads and discs all round because their health test says they are over 90% worn and the discs are in a bad way (funny that cos when TFC came over about a month ago they looked pretty dam thick then, maybe someone has done a few thousand miles without me knowing....NOT). ARB's need replacing, track rod ends, steering arms, rear exhaust shield, 4 wheel alignment, fitting kits (brakes) BLAH....BLAH....BLAH....BLAH!!!!!!!
Then the cheeky f r came out and said "when would you like us to carry out the work sir"
Can't actually tell you all the reply without putting too many of these in..
They was trying to mug off the wrong f g person today..........PRIDE OF NORTH LONDON

Sh!te, dropped mine off at half 8, courtesy car ready for me (due to having to come back after last Fridays aborted installation due to faulty/damaged new pipework). Call from dealer an hour later to say they had found a bulb out and one of my two tone horn horns out. Both fixed FOC, car washed and hoovered and as an apology for having to come back to have the repair done again there was a bag of Land Rover teddy's and bits for my 4 year old waiting for me when i returned. No complaints my end K7MUN TDV6 S Auto, 2005, Adriatic Blue, Xenons, Harmon Kardon, SE Alloys & AT's. 170k miles. BAS Blanked EGR's, K&N Filter, new air susp compressor. 1st Landie, now full LR convert.

My D3 went into Guy Salmon Crawley today for the brake recall.
Should they have given me a job sheet / invoice for the work done?

THFC my wife took mine in today to our nearest LR dealer in SW London and guess what - the windscreen wipers need replacing , the EPB needs seeing to ( yes , LR should junk it and put in a simple handbrake for all of us that go off road ) , the brake fluidor oil is something or other , the steering is loose , the service indicator needs to be reset .
Yes the blades are original , we have had the EPB fixed but it makes a small noise - as opposed to a very large one - but as to the rest ( we had the 60K service and MOT done by Quadratech on Brixton Hill SW2 who I have used and trusted for years since my Mark 2 FFRR - and highly recommend ) the LR dealer is clearly fishing for work . God knows what they would hvae found had she left it there.
Not happy with the LR dealer. But they did clean the car...and patronise my wife.

Mine going in next week to replace high level brake light and do the recall.
Anyone had theirs done at Hunters Guildford? Interesting to see the level of 'other jobs needing doing' that may arise....

Mine went in today, and was done in a couple of hours. Along with the "visual health check".
Now how on a visual check can you detect a worn wheel bearing (that was "good news" as I was told by someone else that the grumble was a diff fault). But the price for replacing the rear pads at over £1k - when the disks are "only" £115 - I think someone is taking the Michael.
And as for the tread depth - I know the spare to be down to about 4mm, but they manage to describe it as "new".
Overall would I entrust these guys to do the list of jobs - Fair reader, I'll let you decide.

I had mine done the other day, I got a Freelander 2 to borrow while they did the work, I expected a long list of things (I already know about!) to be waiting for me when I picked it up.
I was surprised to find they just washed the car and handed it back... perhaps they took one look and thought we havent got time to write a list that long

No, not Hanley, but the first and last letters of the town could very well be the same, and there might be implications of a three pointed approach to life....Rob Smith
