Off the top of my head:- that would depend on the CFM of your compressor and the cubic capacity of the air jack and maybe the weight of the vehicle.

If X-jack passes the test

If we decide the 4K kg ARB X-jack is up to the task the retail price is $199us. So we might be able to get a great deal for those paying in Pounds with the current exchange rate.

*UPDATE* A US forum LRRFORUMS.com is exploring a group buy on the X-Jack. There are 5 people signed-up (in two days), so if the Friday test goes well we could look to group the group-buys.

So we have 9 showing an interest in the Takla jack, with 8 confirmed. Pelmya being the first to confirm as he had ordered his before we started this group buy. APB have 5 Jacks in stock one of these already reserved for Pelyma, so that leaves 4 jacks up for grabs to the remaining 7, I am happy to wait till the next shipment in may for my 2nd Jack as I already have one. So being diplomatic how do we decide who gets first grabs at the remaining 4 jacks Question If 4 of you are happy to wait till may then no problem.

Comments please.

From the horses mouth. Email from APB.

Regarding Takla Air Jacks the 2.5 tonne jack that you have had from us will lift a vehicle in excess 5 tonne gross. I have spoken to Takla themselves, they have said that you will not need a larger Air Jack to lift Discovery 3 fully loaded. We have presently five in stock which you could have immediately, with five more to follow on the next container.

I would prefer mine early, as I have a small expedition planned in February, and the guys I am taking always get lots of punctures.

I'm in the same place. I'd like it, but if others who offroad more than me...(wouldn't be hard) need it the now, then I'm okay with that.

MTRs go on tomorrow and hopefully that'll be them on for the winter....when it eventually arrives. I've been praying to the snow gods Very Happy

ditto DiscoDunc and jkp - I'd like to have it now but I won't start crying if I can't.

As I'm going to be out of the country for much of Feb (and the car in the workshop Post #118385), I see myself as a lower priority.
