Is that for the temp gauge, or the heating?
If its for the heating, I would be very interested to hear what your dealer says about it. my supplying dealer is adament that all is ok.

its for external temp being 3 deg high, but suspect that it has an impact on the cabin heater / ACTintenter

Yes...... I have the same problem also on my 3 month old 2016MY D4. Local truck stop has external temp display on building, I am consistently 3 Degrees higher. My old D3 used to match it spot on?!
(A/C and Heating work fine tho?)

IMO I think you would all be better placed to concentrate on the common factor which from this thread is very clear to be that the temp display on 2016MY is out by 3 degrees.
Although this will have an impact on other functions, if the issue is reported primarily as being something else eg the HEVAC, then it may result in the dealer focussing on that instead of the display and the software reporting it 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
Agreed - the fault is the 3-degree error, an additional symptom "may be" the HVAC not heating/cooling enough. Report the fault.LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

Spot on, Ive booked mine in for the new year to fix a few issues including this and will be insisting they investigate the temperature accuracy as its most likely the route cause of the other symptoms people may be experiencing.MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten

I reported it to my local dealer yesterday via email .... and they asked, of course, how I knew it was reading three degrees more.... I explained, that since July delivery I suspected as much and have compared it to other external temperature measurements and it always records three degrees higher etc etc ... and the fact that it has been reported by many fellow forum members (they hate forum reports it seems) ..... with MY16 Discovery models...... I'm not holding my breath .... but I shan't be surprised if we get a TSB in a few months...2016MY Discovery HSE - Black

Well I've had my new D4 2 weeks and was thinking it really is unseasonably warm, then found this thread. I hope it's fixed soon, imagine some poor driving home at night who assumes it's 3 degrees warmer than it really is, then spins on black ice ..........

Having already got the car booked in for the false outside temperature display, I have also now had the opportunity of "turning up the heat" but find unless the control is set to at least 24 degrees the air blown out remains cool. Even when set on "high" there is no hot air.
I have also now found the drivers side centre face vent can't be turned off. The wheel rotates from on to off but no reduction in the air coming out.

I think its already been said .... but no harm repeating ..... to get the matter sorted - I think its important that anyone with a MY16 with these symptoms reports it as a customer concern or whatever its called to their dealership!

+1 for the MY16 heating system that does not keep you warm! Dealer contacted! Has anyone had this problem fixed?

My car went back to dealer twice and nothing could be found that was wrong, despite the fact the heater did not heat as well as my old D4.
They compared my car against another new D4 and the heating was exactly the same. They even let me take the other new D4 out for an hours drive so I could see for myself.
I confirmed to them that the heating in both cars felt the same, ie you had to put it up to 25-26 to get any benefit.
However, I still feel that this is not right, you should not need to have to turn it up that high.
Not sure what to do now

Call me a cynic bit it'll always be "no fault found" until:
A They acknowledge there is a fault
and
B They figure out a fix.

I find that the heater output in my car reduces gradually and is really noticeable from after 30(ish) mins of driving. It might be do something to the the ambient sensor gradually getting warmer and telling the climate control system they are linked. So if it is warmer outside than what it is hence the cooling inside.
The ATC (automatic temperature control) module is mounted on the outboard end of the air inlet duct, behind the front passenger side of the instrument panel. The ATC module processes inputs from the center instrument panel switch pack, system sensors and the medium speed controller area network (CAN) bus, then outputs the appropriate control signals to the A/C system and the heating and ventilation system.
I think if I select recirc, it should ignore the (faulty?) ambient sensor and restore heating. Will try that tonight.
