Heated screens didn't come on this morning when displayed temp was 2c (actual -2c) but came on 2 hours later when displayed temp was 6c?

Headlights came on in clear sky and bright sunlight at 1300 facing east in Inverness, went off 6 miles later facing west in same conditions into bright sunlight.

Any thoughts?

My heated screen (front & rear) came on at 3 (displayed) along with frost warning.

It's a Landrover - there is no logic to the workings of the automatic light settings IMHO!

Did both these come on at start up or whilst driving (when display was 6 degrees)

Obvious question but does an IID show the same temp for ambient as the dash display? If not been done it's something that can easily be done at the Ice Fest.

DSL - the instrument panel display is accurately reflecting the reading that the CJB is receiving. I've checked that.

Car was cold, sun wasn't up, outside temperature was 12.5 C, as confirmed by the Evaporator Temperature. Cabin temp was a bit on the high side too.

Well got back tonight and thought I would check mine. Not conclusive Rolling Eyes

Three cars on the drive, three different temps:
D4 - 6 Deg C
Merc E class - 6.5 Deg C
Vauxhall Corsa - 3.5 Deg C

The D4 was at the back of the line so didn't take it out, quick spin in the Merc saw it drop to 4.5 Deg C. Not only 1.5 deg C less than the D4??

Off on my travels again tonight so will have a look again when I have more time at the weekend.

Tony

Add us to the list.

We've had the car a couple of months now with a family trip to Scotland @ Xmas/New Year. The thing we've noticed was the temperature had be set approx 3-4 degrees than any of our other vehicles.

We have the remote and used on more than a few occasions now - not too impressed with the temperature when you get in...

Now we've just read this, so our nearest dealer (LR @ Colchester) will be getting a call on Monday.
