Would it be of any use or interest if someone with a reader parked the car up in a garage and left the boot and doors open for an hour and then checked internal vs external temperatures? In theory if undercover and in the current climate I would have thought solar heating wouldn't effect things. I would expect the internal temp would read 3 degrees lower than the external?MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten

This was carried out on my car in early January when LR asked for it to be compared with another 2016MY and a 2015MY model all left in the dealers workshop over night.
The 2015MY and the workshop both had readings 3 degrees less than both 2016MY models.

I will try and do this at the weekend and report back.

Hi all
I am pleased to advise that I have received information this morning that the software fix for the ambient temperature sensor is now included on the latest software file that has been made available to our retailer network.
Anybody experiencing this concern should contact their retailer so that they may make the necessary arrangements to book your vehicle in for the software to be applied.
Regards
Ryan

According to LR, this has no effect on the internal heating, so it wont fix the issue of lack of heat from vents. I think their stance on that is that it is within current working parameters... So we will still need coats inside the car

Good work by the crusaders on here and well done to LR for 'listening' here's hoping its the start of a new era and that the communication will filter down to the dealers and everyone can be happy again!
