Hi all
I am pleased to advise that I have received information this morning that the software fix for the ambient temperature sensor is now included on the latest software file that has been made available to our retailer network.
Anybody experiencing this concern should contact their retailer so that they may make the necessary arrangements to book your vehicle in for the software to be applied.
Regards
Ryan
Is this a wind up??
Our vehicle has been cancelled going into our dealer as they have no knowledge of this after speaking with LR & Customer Services...
Oh, and they don't believe the info on forums about this...Communication is the breakfast of champions...

Hi Ryan
Are you able to give us a clue as to what LR have actually done to address this issue? A cynic such as myself might think that it is possible to 'tweak' the software to simply add +3 degrees to the dash display whilst not actually changing anything to do with the actual working of the vehicle.

I guess dealers can make mistakes.
Perhaps if the dealer could click this link on his computer:

Dealers can make mistakes; fair one...but we had already called earlier in the week to confirm that they knew of the related fix and were assured there was no problem and would see our vehicle on Friday.
We were called today and the dealer now knows nothing of the related prob. The job was canceled as previous post.
We had several conversations with the dealer today who was adamant there was no problem logged or a solution.
Pete @ LR has contacted dealer who will contact to re-book.
Really not impressed...it's just the manner and tone of some of the people that represent LR with patronising undertones and "you shouldn't believe info on forums" etc along with the overall communication, which is not very good.Communication is the breakfast of champions...

I agree - I had exactly the same issue.
My dealer got me down there and told me the issue was fixed... and when i expressed surprised the service guy looked at me patronisingly and said 'completely different issue... don't believe what you read on forums'.
Of course it wasn't a different issue.
I have wasted hours on this now and both JLR and the dealer act as if they are doing me a favour in even looking at this and that fixing this is a non issue - in essence that I am making a fuss over nothing. On a £50k + vehicle. Its unbelievable.

Unless anyone is getting the software installed today, it looks like mine may be the first tomorrow.
I will post results on here as soon as possible and hope the fix is instantly noticable.
If tomorrows download is unsuccessful you may well first hear about the consequences as a news flash on TV and Radio. I hope you will all contribute and get me released on bail as we are off to the Lakes on Sunday.

I've squirrelled 50p away for the bail fund. And expecting you'll need it.

Hi all
Thank you for your posts.
I note the comments made and can advise that the relevant software fix was released this week to our retailer network within the latest software patch, however I have been made aware today that there have been some unexpected concerns.
This is being investigated further and unfortunately there will be a delay on the updated patch being released and applied to affected vehicles.
May I apologise for any inconvenience that this may have caused and be assured that I will continue to monitor the situation moving forward.
