To be honest I'm passed caring, my heating is fine it's just the display that's out plus my Disco will be getting traded in next year for a D5 possibly or XC90 R Design the favoured option at the moment after seeing forum member Skeps one.23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green

I wish I could take your view J77, but some us buy for the long term & when you invest serious money into a quality product, you expect just that.

I've been watching this thread for a good few weeks as I had a Landmark on order. I collected it yesterday and was assured by the dealer that the software was completely up-to-date as LR systems wouldn't let them register/tax a car that didn't have the latest software loaded.
My experience yesterday was that the external temperature display seems to be OK, reading the same as my other vehicles, however we did seem to have to have the internal temperature set about 3-4C higher than in my other vehicles to feel comfortable. At one point I also felt the fan blowing air into the vehicle seemed ton be running faster, and louder, than I would expect.
I've only done about 70miles so far so need to drive it more to get a better impression.Disco 4 Landmark

I'm not saying that we have accept it. Land Rover will get their car back the way they sold it to me.23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green

I finally got around to leaving a quality electronic thermometer resting on the windscreen and wiper blade (in the shade) this morning; to guarantee a stable reading, I left it there for 30 minutes.
The reading from the thermometer, to one decimal place, was 8.7 C. The car reading was 9 C, so it's working just fine.
It's had no software updates since collection from the dealer in late September 2015.2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

I picked mine up 29th September 2015. I'll need to try that, all my tests have been by the readings on other vehicles.23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green

I had the software fix carried out today and it seems the outdoor temperature display is now accurate but I will monitor it closely.
At this moment it is displaying 5 degrees whilst raining. If the fix hasn't worked it would mean the true temperature would be only 2 degrees however it's certainly not that cold.

@BBDISCO and Getofmyland, did you notice any change to the HVAC operation ie does the heater now work properly below 26-degrees?LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

There is much more under the "status updates" which you have access to
I didn't get any notification of updates for that thread for some reason, just unwatched and re set to watch it, maybe it'll work again now LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

Perhaps someone with the know can confirm, if you don't select the link in a notification email you don't get any more update emails on the topic - could that be the reason?
